WARNING!!! This is a gripe session........... lol =)
I'm at work right now on my lunch break... I'm working 3-11 and at 7 they put me at the Children's Hospital. I've never worked over there before but thought it would be a fun experience. I was "supposed" to be sitting at the desk answering the phone/call lights/door... Instead the charge RN said I was going to tech. So that's what I've been doing... UNBELIEVABLY CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have 3 infants and 11 kids between 2 and 15!! The policies and procedures are COMPLETELY different w/pediatrics than with adult pts! It's ridiculous... I would have rather went to a diff floor in the reg hospital! DUMB DUMB DUMB!!!!!! I called staffing and they said the house supervisor specifically said that I was NOT to be teching over there... just answering phones! So staffing is supposed to be calling them to tell them! They're gonna be MAD when I get back! N I still won't get off for an hour after that!!! O BROOOOOOOTHER!!!!!!!!!!

hiii!!!! and yes, they were horribly wrong to treat you like that! your post makes me all mushy sentimental though b/c in high school, i was sooo into the medical field and we did clinical rotations and i loved it. *sigh*! ok, i wasn't really trying to write a book in here, sorry, lol!! :O) do share ur apartment pics!!
